Hello, I am Kevyn

I have been photographing weddings for over ten years, and in that time I have learned that the pictures people keep are rarely the posed ones. They are the small, unplanned moments in between: a father steadying himself before he walks you down the aisle, the friend who cannot stop laughing, the quiet minute you steal together before dinner.

My job is to make the day feel easy, enjoyable and unhurried, and to notice the details you spent a year choosing. I am a calm presence rather than a loud one. I will keep an eye on the timeline, carry something when your hands are full, and tell you honestly if the light will be better ten minutes later.

Away from weddings I am at home in Charlotte with my husband AJ, our daughter Caroline and Franklin, our mini goldendoodle. I am a bit of an old soul: I like antique shops, long walks around the neighborhood, stand-up comedy, and anything with a good story in it. My favorite place is still Boone, where AJ and I met in college.
